Health, Safety & Environment

Ocon Brick is committed to achieving high standards of environmental care and to providing a safe and healthy workplace for employees, contractors and all stakeholders. Ocon Brick embraces the “STOP.THINK.ACT. 24/7” commitment to making the company a place of “Zero Harm” and “Zero Incident”

Environmental sensitivity is common practice at Ocon Brick and seamless surveillance of the process from quarry to building site ensures minimal environmental impact. Rehabilitation of exhausted quarries is aimed at returning to their original state, with birdlife and fish, grass and trees.

The manufacturing process of clay stock bricks is equally important. An ongoing improvement in energy efficiency with the objective of reducing carbon emissions means that clay stock brick has less embodied energy when measured against other building materials such as glass, aluminium and particleboard.
